Bodega Séptima, meaning "seventh," is the seventh winery of the Codorníu - Raventós family. It is located along the International Route 7, in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Our wines are promoted through elegant marketing actions, offering a profitable long-term business opportunity. The perfect balance of historical heritage, innovation, and superb quality.

It is a complex and elegant 100% Malbec wine elaborated with grapes from different oases in Mendoza, where the alluvial silt loam soils are very deep, with low contents of organic matter and excellent permeability. The grapes from the district of Luján de Cuyo, at 1050 m.a.s.l., bring out notes of plum and red berries. The grapes from Valle de Uco, at 1400 m.a.s.l. and with a wide day-to-night temperature range that favours the formation of polyphenols, contributes aromas of flowers and blackberries.

The 2015 harvest was exceptional in these areas of Mendoza. High temperatures in the spring and summer rains resulted in an outstanding production of aromatic precursors that were then preserved thanks to the drop in temperatures. A harvest with excellent varietal expression.

Colour: Deep bright red with purple shades.

Nose: Blackberry, plum, and minerals. Complemented with vanilla and dark chocolate, perfectly balanced with the varietal aromas.

Palate: Sweet and consistent attack, with generous tannins that, together with the oak aging, create the characteristic combination of flavours of this variety. Well-balanced and persistent on the palate.

Food Matching: Red meats and semi-hard cheeses.

Closure: Cork
