13.5% ABV. (750 ML.)

Place of Origin: Chile

Vintage: 2017

Grape Varieties: Carménère 100%

With an area of 7,384 km2, this province accounts for approximately 9.2% of Chile’s vines for wine production, with close to 10,889 hectares planted with grapevines, distributed among 439 vineyards. Winegrowing in Cachapoal is distributed among 17 Communes: Rancagua, Graneros, Mostazal, Codegua, Machali, Olivar, Requinoa, Rengo, Malloa, Quinta Tilcoco, San Vicente, Pichidegua, Peumo, Coltauco, Coinco, Doñihue, and Las Cabras.

Stretching eastward into the Andean foothills, Viña Los Boldos, with over 260 hectares of vines, selected the Requinoa Commune, in the heart of the Rapel Valley, in Cachapoal Andes, as the “terroir” with the potential for growing top-quality grapes, ideal for producing well-balanced cabernets, red blends as well as lively, fresh white wines.

Tasting Notes: Intense deep red. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, with notes of black pepper and chocolate. Fruity, well structured, with round, powerful tannins and a long ending.

Food Matching: It goes great with beef, pork and game meats. Pasta with spicy sausages and sausages such as salami and raw ham.

Closure: Cork
