Bleeding Heart Wine was borne from a shared passion in the wines and vineyards of Australia. The ancient soils and moderate climate create rich and full-bodied wines that are incredibly satisfying. Few that experience the lifestyle of food and wine could argue that it is not better a bleeding heart than none at all.

Sourced from dry grown vineyards of the warmer and long-established sites of broader South Australian and lower-cropping vineyards in the cooler climate Adelaide Hills wine region. The Central vineyards provide a depth of flavor and a round mouthfeel whilst the Adelaide Hills provides elegance, length, and soft natural acidity.

Careful vineyard management is always required at the best of times but particularly in 2018 as early November frosts caused a reduction in yield across much of South Australia. The timing and result were okay from a ripening perspective and with a consistent and even temperature of the subsequent few months the fruit that remained developed beautifully with great bright flavors and fine, fresh acidity. Indeed 2018 is looking very good across all of the State of South Australia.
